JoeScan® JS-25 X-Series scanners provide numerous benefits to our customers:
Reliability: Our scanners are designed for the most challenging industrial environments. JoeScan scan heads even withstand the extreme vibration of riding on the carriage, and the aluminum housing is sealed to keep out dust and moisture. With no moving parts, the JS-25 is designed to deliver years of unfailing service.
Compatibility: JoeScan provides the source code for communicating with the scanners. All the heavy lifting of sockets, network protocols, message decoding and enco
JS-25 X-Series
All JoeScader synchronization is neatly wrapped up and well-documented. The code compiles under both Windows® and Unix®, and we provide bindings for Visual Basic® 6.0 as well. We work closely with you to ensure that it’s easy to communicate with our scanners in your environment. In most cases, JS-25 models are backward compatible with JS-20 models.
Ease of use: JS-25 models install in minutes. With just 24V DC power and an Ethernet connection, you can monitor and configure the scanner from any Web browser on the network. The calibration techniques for JS-25 scanners are the most intuitive and flexible in the industry.
Unmatched support: JoeScan products are backed by a 5-year warranty. If you encounter a manufacturing defect within 5 years, we will fix it at no charge.

NEW! JS-25 X6B -30 |
Six laser snapshot |
The X6B-30 is a six-laser scanner specifically designed for high-density, snapshot-scanning of boards, cants, and flitches in short-infeed lineal applications. The X6B-30 operates at a standoff as short as 36". Different standoff configurations are possible by request. |

JS-25 X6B -20 |
Six laser snapshot |
The X6B-20 is a six-laser scanner specifically designed for high-density, snapshot-scanning of logs on Carriage Headrigs. The X6B-20 operates at a standoff up to 120". Different standoff configurations are possible by request. |

JS-25 MX |
Medium range |
The MX has a versatile scanning envelope can handle anything from boards to small-to-large logs. It works well on Lineal Edgers or Log Systems. |
|
JS-25 WX |
Wide angle |
The WX is designed for transverse scanning for trimmers and edgers. It exchanges depth of view for a wider field of view, allowing each scanner to see more of the length of each board. The reduced depth of view also delivers an increased scan speed of up to 850 profiles per second, which provides finer coverage of the wane on a board. It works well in a Transverse Scanning setting. |
|
JS-25 X1 |
Extended range |
The X1 has a single laser and is well-suited for lineal scanning of larger logs. Its standoff of more than 10 feet allows you to place it further from the logs if your configuration obstructs standard scanner positioning. It works well in Sharp Chain settings. |
|
JS-25 X2 |
Dual laser |
The X2 offers high-density snapshot and short-infeed scanning. Its dual lasers scan the entire length of a log in 12 inches of travel. It works well in Carriage Headrig, Sharp Chain and Lineal Edger settings. |

JS-25 X3 |
Triple laser |
The X3 delivers higher-density snapshot and short-infeed scanning. With three lasers, it can scan the entire length of a log in just 6 inches of travel. It works well in Carriage Headrig, Sharp Chain and Lineal Edger settings. |
Legacy Products
JS-20 X-Series and Other Selected Models
The JS-20 X-series offers the same reliability, compatibility, ease of use and support as the JS-25 X-series. In most cases, JS-25 models are backward compatible with JS-20 models.

JS-25/ JS-20 SX |
Standard range |
The SX provides lineal scanning of boards, cants and small to medium-size logs. It offers a combination of accuracy, scan speed and both field and depth of view. It works well in a Lineal Edger or Sharp Chain setting. Note: JoeScan recommends JS-25 MX model scanners instead of JS-25 SX models. The JS-25 MX's performance and specifications are indistinguishable from the JS-25 SX within the JS-25 SX’s specified field of view and depth of view ranges. |

JS-20 MX100 |
Outdoor edition |
The MX100oe is designed for outdoor use. The combination of high-speed digital imaging and more powerful lasers allows the MX100oe to overcome brighter-than-normal light conditions. It works well in log yard settings to sort and measure incoming log volume and in lineal bucking operations. |
